Marketing Experience
From my current role as Associate Content Manager at Condé Nast to a Partner Marketing Intern at Mailchimp, I have grown and served in a variety of marketing roles. Check out my experience below!
Condé Nast
Associate Content Manager, Subscription Boxes
Associate Content Manager at Condé Nast is my first job out of college. I work on Allure Beauty Box & GQ Box’s acquisition team where my focus is leveraging editorial support from Allure and GQ to drive conversion. I serve as the link between the editors who review the products in the boxes and our marketing team. I work cross functionally to manage end-to-end content production process, ensuring adherence to editorial standards, guidelines, and timely delivery, resulting in successful publication across print and digital mediums.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
AJC UX Research Team with the Cox Institute Journalism Innovation Lab
The Unapologetically ATL newsletter has been successful by a number of metrics for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. In order to capitalize on this success, and learn from it, I was selected to work within the Cox Institute’s Journalism Innovation Lab to conduct user-experience (UX) research on specifically what is effective for audiences about this newsletter product and how these techniques can be applied to other digital products and areas of the AJC newsroom and beyond.
Investigating the newsletter’s success includes conducting stakeholder interviews, creating UX surveys, and leading empathy mapping and focusing group sessions across various AJC audiences. Check back soon to see what we discover!
Mailchimp
Partner Marketing Intern
Selected as the sole partner marketing intern for two consecutive semesters, I played a key role in helping Mailchimp grow their global partner community of agencies and freelancers. From producing, writing, and editing dozens of global, partner-facing communications including newsletters and social media posts to pitching and executing two virtual global launch events for 2,000+ attendees from over 12 countries, I was given a large amount of responsibility due to my excellent communication skills, strong work ethic, and organizational prowess.
Event Marketing Intern
As the sole Mailchimp Event Marketing intern, I listened extremely hard, collaborated courageously, and thrived in complexity. I worked cross-functionally with a variety of teams including Design, Research, and Product Marketing to build alignment around the goals of our customers and stakeholders. My responsibilities varied from assessing international event sponsorship opportunities to coordinating speakers and assisting in event design for the launch of Mailchimp & Co.
Talking Dog Agency
Director of Media
I added a New Media Certificate to my University of Georgia Journalism degree focusing on critical investigations into the constantly changing technology and media landscapes. From coding websites with Bootstrap, HTML/CSS, or Javascript to designing websites in Adobe XD, I had the opportunity to develop, design, and debut interactive digital products that address real world problems. These skillsets led me to serve as the Director of Media for Talking Dog, the University of Georgia’s premier full-service, student-run agency where I managed and coached twelve account teams for clients including American Airlines, Porsche, Coca Cola, and others.
Copywriter
As a Copywriter, I developed copy and messaging across organic social media platforms to increase user engagement for a variety of clients and researched client needs to develop effective communication messaging. Additionally, I partnered with established advertising agencies, Green Olive Media and Atlys, to create engaging client social media campaigns.
